CAPTRON, pioneer of the first capacitive two-hand control system, ensure the highest safety category according to (Cat. 4) and PL e (DIN EN ISO 13849-1). The capacitive "safeCAP" two-hand control allows heavy machinery and systems in automated production plants, such as presses and punches, to be controlled safely and without pressure.
To start the machine the user simultaneously presses two capacitive buttons which are connected to a safety relay. Incorrect or inattentive control using just one hand or with another part of the body is detected by the system and the machine is not started.
CAPTRON supplies the safeCAP two-hand control with additional safety elements such as the Protector or the control desk for tabletop installation. These combinations enhance protection and are certified to DIN EN 13851. The dynamically switching SENSORswitches detect interference factors such as dirt, dust or foreign bodies. The switches however, can be actuated using disposable or work gloves.
The fully electronic design of the SENSORswitches is specially designed for everyday fatigue-free continuous use and features extreme durability, reliability and robustness. The user receives optical feedback through LEDs.
NEW: SC30 Series (according to EN 13851)
The new product generation of the safeCAP SC30 buttons replaces the successful product series of the safeCAP SC3.
The new safeCAP SC30 button has a PhotoMOS relay. NO in the single channel version can be used as a two-hand control in conjunction with the relays 3SK1 Advanced, 3RK3 MSS or Simatic F-CPU. The SC30 dual channel version NO / NC can be used with the MCR-225 relay as well as the PILZ PNOZ s6.
The optical feedback occurs during the operating state via a green LED and during switching processes via a yellow LED. The SC30 is suitable for the installation opening of Ø 22.5 mm and has a outer diameter of 54 mm. Their compact design allows a quick and space-saving mounting or the replacement in existing operator controls. Operation with disposable or working gloves is possible and will not impede function.
Additional safety elements such as the Protector or control desk can be used in modular form depending on the application. These combinations satisfy all the requirements for two-hand safety controls type III C to DIN EN 13851 due to the standard-compliant design. The safety functions comply with Category 4 and Pl e to DIN EN ISO 13849-1.
The SC30 series is used in industries with increased safety requirements and as two-hand controls.

SC4 Series
The capacitive two-hand safety controls in the SC4 series allows heavy industrial automation machinery and systems to be operated safely and without pressure and meets the very highest safety requirements of Category 4 under PL e to DIN EN ISO 13849-1.
CAPTRON supplies the SC4 series in Basic, Protect and Complete sets. The additional safety elements such as the Protector or the control desk also provide protection from outside interference and satisfy all the requirements for two-hand safety controls under DIN EN 13851.
Capacitive two-hand safety controls are specially designed for everyday, ergonomic long-term use and deliver extreme durability, reliability and robustness. The touch area has a diameter of 63 mm making it very large and easy to use. The user receives optical feedback through 8 red and 8 green LEDs.
